About This Project
Madu Kencono Sales & Finance Automation is an end-to-end operations system for the honey business line of PT Gelombang Cipta Inovasi. It is built as a pnpm monorepo with a Fastify, Prisma, and MySQL API on the backend and a React, Vite, and TailwindCSS dashboard on the frontend. The platform covers the entire sales cycle: recording customers and prospects, creating orders, verifying payments through the Duitku payment gateway, managing stock and production, and closing the books with tiered approvals. Customer notifications and follow-ups are sent automatically over WhatsApp through the Fonnte integration, and a chat-based AI assistant helps the team navigate operational data. Six roles carry different permissions: Director, Sales, Labour, Operator, General Affairs, and Finance, each with its own scope of data and actions. Legacy records from Excel spreadsheets were migrated through dedicated scripts so historic transactions remain readable in the new system.

Challenges
- Designing permissions for six distinct roles without making the interface feel heavy for field staff
- Keeping orders, gateway payments, stock movements, and bookkeeping consistent with one another
- Migrating legacy data from more than a dozen Excel files with inconsistent formats
Solutions
- JWT authentication middleware with per-module policies, paired with dynamic navigation that only shows menus relevant to each role
- A service layer per domain on top of Prisma using database transactions, with the Duitku webhook as the source of truth for payment status
- Staged migration scripts with an Excel parser and a separate verification step before data reaches production tables
